SB14 HFA Campbell 3-12 [Amendment to SB14 HFIN AM 3-10 #1]

            Delegate Campbell moves to amend the amendment on page 57, Section 13, by striking out all of subdivision (1) as contained on lines 15 through 21, and inserting in lieu thereof, the following:

            “(1) Personnel hired by a public charter school are employed by the county board of education that is the public charter school’s authorizer. The public charter school employee retains all the rights of a county board of education employee, including, but not limited to, seniority, RIF and transfer rights, grievance procedures afforded to public employees, retirement benefits and health insurance benefits. The county board of education is ultimately responsible for processing employee paychecks, managing its employees’ participation in the applicable retirement system and managing its employees’ participation in insurance plans established by the Public Employees Insurance Agency.”
